The creative heart behind A Rose’s Thorn. My journey has been anything but traditional. Since I could remember, creativity has always been a part of me. I was the one friends and family came to when they needed a creative eye - whether it was for school projects, planning/styling celebrations, or just dreaming up something special. But as a first-generation college student, I also felt the pressure to choose stability. I started out studying Graphic Design but ended up in Accounting and Finance, and for years, numbers became my world. While it was a shift from my creative roots, I’m grateful for the detour because it gave me the business skills that now help me run my floral business with both passion and purpose.
No matter how much my path shifted, I never stopped finding outlets for creativity. For many years, I designed cakes for weddings and special events, building a loyal base along the way. But as time went on, that chapter no longer felt aligned wit the path I was meant to follow. From there I began exploring other creative outlets - dabbing in interior design and helping new small businesses bring their vision to life through branding, logo design, and marketing materials. Then came my aunt’s wedding. Designing her florals changed everything. It sparked a passion in me I never expected. Floral design became my art (A.R.T) - my medium, my voice, my way of expressing emotions and ideas in ways words can’t always capture.
Through floral design, I finally found the perfect way to blend my love for art, my eye for detail, and my desire to create something meaningful. There’s something special about transforming spaces with flowers—it brings me both joy and a sense of peace, and I pour that feeling into every arrangement I create. My journey hasn’t been the most conventional, but that’s what makes it beautifully mine. It’s been full of twists, pivots, and rediscoveries - each step shaping who I am and ultimately leading me to where I truly belong. I strive to bring beauty and meaning to life’s most cherished moments - whether it’s a wedding, an intimate gathering, or a just-because celebration, I truly believe flowers have the power to make every occasion unforgettable.
Beyond my love for floral design, my faith, love, and happiness are at the heart of everything I do. When I’m not bringing events to life, I’m spending time with my husband and our two energetic little ones, finding ways to help others, or diving into endless home projects.
